Meet your 2017-2018 Board Members  Our three new board members are Debby Geoghagan, Gary Long and Jeff Toffer. The members of the board voted to have Glen Mumm as our President, Dan Loos is our new Vice President. Russ Bishop will continue as our Treasurer and Debby Geoghagan will continue as our Secretary. We are very excited about the upcoming year! We have a great mix of fresh ideas, a rich knowledge base and enthusiasm for the betterment of our community. Our board meets at the RLCA Community Center on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 and all RLCA members are welcome to attend.

Our annual meeting was on July 29th and we are happy to announce that our budget for 2017-2018 has been approved. We will be going back to the drawing board as far as the improvement to Sheets road is concerned and we will need more involvement from the Sheets Road residents before we can move forward on that project. See details in the Annual Meeting minutes.

Newsletters by Email It takes quite a lot of time and money to get newsletters mailed out to all RLCA property owners. If you are willing to receive future newsletters by email, please send an email to Debby Geoghagan at [email protected] and let me know.

Reflection Lake consists of a 55 acre lake, a large greenbelt, a north dam & south dam, 190+ lots, Frontage road, Lake road, Ponds road, Upper Sheets road & Lower Sheets road, Lakeside Drive, Four Access lots and our Community center. Lake Security has been around since the 1980s. Our efforts are focused on preventing fish poaching and non-association persons from using and abusing our lake and property. Our volunteers are not law enforcement, they are there to help protect the assets you pay for with your annual dues. Join us and get to know the lake like the back of your hand!

Algae Bloom  These hot summer days can cause algae to reproduce rapidly, or “bloom”. Some blue-green algae produce toxins that can cause illness in humans and animals that come in contact with the algae. Toxic blooms can kill livestock and pets that drink the water. Signs of a toxic bloom may include: dead fish, waterfowl or other animals; sudden, unexplained sickness or death of a cat or dog; skin rashes on humans after being in the water. Eventually the toxins break down in the water and are destroyed naturally. Although blue-green blooms can create nuisance conditions and undesirable water quality, most are not toxic. However, please let us know if you experience any symptoms so we can bring it to the attention of the rest of the neighborhood.
