Good Afternoon,
The lake election this past week signals a change in our approach to lake
priorities by the board of directors. Those who made it to the August board
meeting saw a change of officers, but also heard a pledge to emphasize our
responsibility as guardians of a beautiful Recreational Lake.
The new Board: Jim Boothby, President
Gary Long, Vice President
Dinece Browne, Secretary
Jerry Parker, Treasurer
Board Members: Terry Zoesch
Russell Bishop
Sandi Bennett
Joe Kokinda
Randy Kenworthy
Goals set for the 23 -24 season:
- Return to the primary mandate of the Covenant “A single Community
for the enjoyment and preservation of the lake”.
- Put an end to ongoing lawsuits if possible.
- Activate Bylaws Committee.
- Set an action and response email policy for the board.
- Update our online informational page.
- Send out a hard copy newsletter in April, July and October each year.
- Recruit volunteers for all standing committees.
- Encourage donations of labor, materials, expertise and funding for projects.
- Recognize volunteers through awards, certificates, citations and honorable
mention. People who gave time, labor or money deserve recognition.
We will return to our bylaws by requiring a formal written complaint. Should a member
seek regress we can use the existing format, or a full board discussion and determination
As to the proper course of action, there will be no rush to judgement.
Please remember we are volunteers; Dues go toward paying all the bills. Should
you have a hardship we will work with you as a board and community. If you can
afford to pay your dues and fail to do so, we do not have any obligation to listen
to your views on financial issues, and we are obligated to expedite collection of all
accounts delinquent.
We have a lot of new homes and a large number of new members joining the lake
our community. Welcome aboard don’t be shy please join us and meet your neighbors,
attend a meeting, show up at the committee of your choice, be a part of the future.
Respectfully,
Jim Boothby
